ChicagoMSDC is a Partner with the Cook County Small Business Source
The Cook County Small Business Source features a network of over 50 Business Support Organizations (BSO) and referral partners dedicated to supporting small business in any stage of development. This model of support prioritizes getting businesses help when they need it. In addition to one-on-one advising services, the program also provides webinars, timely resources, and information for small businesses.

ChicagoMSDC is pleased to continue as a Business Support Organization (BSO) of the Cook County Small Business Source. Once again, we’re offering virtual business advising sessions to build our webinar and event offerings for 2024 with you in mind, all at no cost. BSO advising sessions help, ultimately, with the growth and development of small businesses through assessment of company needs in a group or 1-on-1 setting.

The Cook County Small Business Source has introduced The 2023 Source Grant which will provide $40 Million in grants to small businesses coupled with no-cost advising and coaching services, to help stabilize operations, foster recovery and resiliency, and advance equity in a post-pandemic economy. The grant application period is July 20, 2023 – August 18, 2023.
TWO TYPES OF GRANTS:
- Businesses with 2019 gross revenue between $20k-$50k are eligible to receive $10K grants.
- Businesses with 2019 gross revenue of more than $50k are eligible to receive $20K grants.

GRANT HELP SESSIONS
- Title: SBS Virtual Business Advising
- Date: October – December
- Time: 30 Minute Sessions from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Description:To discuss webinars to close out 2023, business topics of interest in 2024, grant updates, referral options or just touch base as an existing client, please schedule a time to virtually meet with ChicagoMSDC advisors between October and December by clicking the link below. The Source features a network of over 40 local organizations dedicated to supporting small businesses in various stages of development. Gain access to needed resources by attending a group advising session before they close.
