MBEIC Celebrates Excellence

Congratulations to this year's Dolores Saxton-Walker Scholarship recipients.

Chicago Business Opportunity Fair is unlike any other since its inception. As our nation faces an incredibly daunting challenge to change the fabric of our society, it is crystal clear that we need real leaders - diverse, worldly, intelligent, and willing to fulfill a critical need for civic action.

The late Dolores Saxton-Walker was a successful entrepreneur who worked diligently on behalf of the mission of ChicagoMSDC.  She understood the importance of developing future entrepreneurs by supporting students with excellent academic achievement and leadership skill.  ChicagoMSDC's Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee established the Dolores Saxton-Walker Scholarship in honor of her commitment to develop young leaders.

On Saturday June 20, the ChicagoMSDC and the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) celebrated a special group of students as we presented the CLASS OF 2020: Dolores Saxton-Walker Scholarship Ceremony ( click for video replay ) as a kick off to this year's CBOF53

Our first virtual Delores Saxton-Walker Scholarship Ceremony was absolutely amazing. The stories from our minority business enterprises, corporate members, government partners and outstanding scholarship recipients warmed our hearts.

Congratulations to this year's scholarship recipients.  We are all extremely proud of their accomplishments and look forward to their future successes.

If you are interested in supporting the Class of 2021, please make a donation.  Any amount would be greatly appreciated.  Our minimum goal is to raise $30,000 again by the end of September.
