Congratulations, Farewell and Hello

The ChicagoMSDC sends sincere congratulations and heartfelt farewell while also opening our arms to say hello to our new staff.

The month of May has arrived with new changes and new faces at the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council. After more than 13 years of progressive service, the entire staff collectively exhaled, saying farewell to Julia Guan, the Council's Certification Manager and IT Specialist.

Julia Guan began her career as Certification Intern in April 2004 before progressing to certification specialist in August 2008, and subsequently certification manager in July 2012. She also accepted an additional role of IT specialist, maintaining the entire information technology network and resolving all technical issues.

The entire Council congratulates Julia on her new professional endeavors and exciting personal engagement that have led her to New Jersey accepting a new position at Princeton University.

Thankfully the Council has the pleasure of introducing our new certification specialist, Gina Perez. Gina joins the certification department with a focus on renewal applications. She will also serve as the liaison between our MBE community and other certification agencies.

Gina is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she majored in Spanish and Hispanic Studies.  Prior to joining ChicagoMSDC, Gina was the Marketing Coordinator for a property management firm in Hyde Park.  She is excited to meet our MBEs and corporate members and help strengthen their businesses.  Gina loves pasta, dogs, and Harry Potter.

Please join us in welcoming Gina Perez to the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council. We know you will be just as impressed as we are with our new certification specialist!
